Who we are

Dead End Society is a trading name of Michael Kibble, based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the "data controller" of your personal data.

What we collect

When you visit our site, join our waitlist, or order, we may collect:

• Contact details — name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address.
• Order information — what you buy, order value, and order history.
• Payment information — handled securely by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and basic usage data.
• Marketing preferences — whether you've opted in to hear from us.

Why we use it

• To process and deliver your orders and contact you about them.
• To take payment and prevent fraud.
• To send marketing (email/SMS) only where you've opted in — drops, news, and ride-out invitations. Opt out any time.
• To improve our website.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations.

Our lawful bases are performance of a contract (fulfilling your order), consent (marketing), and legitimate interests (running the business).

Who we share it with

We share data only with providers who help us run the business:

• Shopify — hosts our website and store, and processes order data.
• Tapstitch — prints and ships your order.
• Stripe — securely processes payments.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we ensure it's protected to UK standards. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

Only as long as necessary — for your customer relationship with us, and as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes (typically up to 6 years for order records). Marketing data is kept until you opt out.

Cookies

Our site currently uses only the essential cookies needed for it to function (such as remembering your shopping bag). We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add these in future, we'll ask for your consent through a cookie banner and update this section.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can: access your data, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict processing, withdraw marketing consent, and request your data in a portable format.
